At Mason City Surgery Center, we are currently hiring for the following positions:
OPERATING ROOM NURSE (RN)
Under the supervision of the Medical Director/Nurse Manager, the OR nurse is responsible for the delivery of optimum quality care to patients while in the Operating Room environment. This full-time position is benefit eligible.
- Current licensure as a RN in the State of IA required.
- CPR certification required
- At least one year of operating room experience in the last 3-5 years preferred.
- ACLS certification preferred.
PERIANESTHESIA NURSE (RN)
Under the supervision of the Medical Director/Nurse Manager, the staff nurse is responsible for the delivery of optimum quality care to patients while in the Pre-Op Admission Area, PACU, Post-Op, Endoscopy, and Pain Management areas of the Surgery Center.
Mason City Surgery Center offers competitive RN compensation with recently increased pay scales.
- Current licensure as a RN in the State of IA required.
- CPR certification required.
- At least one year of PACU or post-operative experience in the last 3-5 years preferred.
- ACLS/PALS certification preferred.
RADIOLOGY TECHNICIAN – PT or FT
Under the supervision of the OR Manager and the Physician, the Radiology Technologist is responsible for conducting routine X-Ray procedures on patients as ordered as well as delivering quality care through minimal patient contact and other assigned duties/responsibilities.
- Current License by the state of Iowa for “Permit to Practice, General”.
- CPR certification preferred upon hire.
- Previous experience with aseptic technique and experience with patient care preferred.
- Must have the ability to follow directions accurately as well as analytical skills in order to conduct routine radiographic procedures.
- Must have the ability to follow directions accurately and anticipate the needs of the surgeons during operative procedures.

I tell everyone that I do not understand why anyone would go anywhere else for their surgery. The staff and service treated you as a person….accommodating, caring.
All of your nursing staff were welcoming and relaxed. No hurrying to get done. They were thorough and professional. My physician was calm, gave me good eye contact at the beginning of the procedure. The atmosphere is one of warmth, caring and professionalism.

Everyone was so polite and courteous. The staff had their individual jobs to do and they did them well. I would definitely recommend the Surgery Center. I counted 8 people I interacted with during my visit. Each one was very friendly and professional. The nurse was amazing. She reduced my stress level, answered all my questions and even stopped by the tell me, "You've got this."

I had a great experience at MC Surgical Center. The nurses and Doctor were all very kind, professional and helpful and made the very best experience considering I was there for a colonoscopy. I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE Mason City Surgery Center. I live within 1 mile of a major medical facility, but I will drive the 45 minutes to Mason City. The calls to update me on the results, the check in care calls, paperwork, billing and reception meets each patient so amazingly. I was fortune to be able to have my shoulder surgery at the Mason City Surgery Center today. My medical staff was excellent with my care, and was able to even deal with my sense of humor likes champs. Thank you for the care I received, along with the excellent communication on how to proceed forward with the healing.
